
Membership
APT has three categories of membership:
Ordinary Membership
Medical, veterinary and non-medical professionals with recognized registration qualifications in any of the branches of pathology residing in Tanzania and actively involved in the practice of pathology
Associate Membership
Postgraduate trainees in any of the branches of pathology
Honorary Membership.
Other medical or veterinary personnel engaged in the laboratory practice or other fields dealing with human and animal care in Tanzania provided they have qualifications which the association considers worth of membership
How to become a member of APT
An eligible candidate should apply for membership through the Secretariat. The names of the applicants will be scrutinized and be elected by the Executive Committee. Elected members will be informed by the Honorable Secretary General. Once elected the applicant will be required to pay registration fees, annual contributions and any other fees and contributions as will be prescribed and fixed by the Association from time to time.
Membership rights:
Members of all categories are entitled to attend meetings and conferences arranged by the Association.
Members of all categories have the right to vote to office members of the Executive Committee.
Ordinary members are entitled to being voted into any office positions of the Association
All members are entitled to receive all official publications of the association.
